Upsells

Sell the workshop, the dinner, the T-shirt
on the same page as the ticket.

Inline add-ons at checkout lift average order value 30–60% on paid events. Same cart, same GST invoice, same one-tap UPI. No second sales page, no follow-up email begging attendees to buy the workshop.

Anything worth adding to a paid ticket.

Two kinds — line items (like a T-shirt) and seatful (like a workshop with capacity).

🎓
Workshops & masterclasses
Half-day workshops attached to a main-conference ticket. Set the capacity to 30. Attendee picks it up at checkout, the workshop room fills before the main event even starts.
🍽️
Dinner passes
Speaker's dinner, rooftop reception, closing gala. Priced separately, capped at 80. When it's full, it hides — no awkward RSVP thread.
👕
Merchandise
Conference tees, hoodies, notebooks. Unlimited-quantity add-ons, ships or is picked up at reception. High-margin, zero incremental sales work.
📚
Printed proceedings
Bound conference proceedings, session slides pack, sponsor brochures. Print-on-demand friendly. Sells to the "I want the deck" crowd.
🎁
Post-event boxes
Curated swag box shipped a week after the event. Great for community-driven events where attendees want a keepsake.
🎥
Session recordings
Sell the on-demand video library as an upsell. Attendee watches later; couldn't-make-it people still buy the recordings.

Because the workshop always sold out five days too late.

Our first ticketed conference had a great side workshop — a design-systems session capped at 25 people, sold at ₹1,500. We announced it in the confirmation email. Two weeks of drip-nurture emails. A LinkedIn post from the workshop lead. By day of event we had sold 8 out of 25. The other 17 seats sat empty while a queue formed at reception because people found out about the workshop when they arrived and asked to buy in.

Every event we run has that story. A masterclass, a rooftop dinner, printed proceedings, a hoodie — something that people would happily add ₹500-₹3,000 for, that never gets the reach because it lives on a separate page nobody visits after they've bought the main ticket.

So we put add-ons on the same page as the ticket. Same cart. Same GST invoice. Same one-tap UPI. If the buyer is paying ₹5,000 for a ticket, adding a ₹1,500 workshop is one tap. The workshop sells out on Day 1 of ticket sales instead of Day 30.

On the last event we tested it on, add-ons drove 41% of total revenue.

Four fields to launch an add-on.

1
Create the add-on
Admin → Event → Add-ons → New. Name it, describe it, set price and optional capacity. Toggle active. Done.
2
Attendee sees it inline
The moment attendee picks a ticket, add-ons appear underneath. +/− stepper. Live subtotal. Same DPDP consent.
3
One order, one invoice
Tickets + add-ons roll into one order. Razorpay charges once. GST invoice lists every line separately for the buyer's finance team.
4
Track sold and remaining
Admin table shows sold count vs capacity for each add-on. Sold out add-ons hide automatically on the public ticket page.

Modules that share the order pipeline.

💳
Add-ons ride the same Razorpay + GST invoice pipeline. Nothing extra to configure.
👥
A corporate can buy 20 tickets and 20 workshop passes in one order. Distribute both to individual attendees on the same private link.
🏷
Add custom fields per add-on if you need shirt size or dietary preferences at checkout.

Questions we get

Can I sell a workshop with limited capacity?
Yes. Set the capacity when you create the add-on. Once sold out it hides automatically from the ticket page.
Do add-ons show on the same GST invoice?
Yes. Add-ons are line items on the same order, so the buyer gets one invoice for tickets + workshops + dinner + everything.
How much lift should I expect?
Between 30% and 60% on paid ticket events depending on how compelling the add-ons are. Workshops and dinners overperform T-shirts.
Can I add add-ons later without breaking existing orders?
Yes. Add-ons are per-event and independent of existing orders. Old orders keep their record; new orders can pick up new add-ons.
