Event registration platform for Bengaluru
Bengaluru has more tech conferences, developer meetups, product launches and corporate offsites per month than most cities have per quarter. If you're running one of them, this is the shortlist of what our Bengaluru customers use us for.
What Bengaluru organisers run on this
Tech & developer conferences
Multi-track agendas, capacity per session, waitlist auto-promote, live polls and Q&A. From 500-person community meetups to 5,000-person industry summits.
Product launches
Custom domain (launch.yourbrand.com), invite-only mode, tiered access for press, partners and VIPs, red-carpet kiosk with branded badges.
Corporate offsites
Bengaluru HQs running offsites in Coorg, Chikmagalur or ECR. RSVP with room block, meal preferences, travel details in the form.
Startup demo days & investor meets
Invite-only investor lists, exhibitor booths for portfolio companies, matchmaking for 1:1 meetings.
Alumni + institutional events
IIMB, IISc, IIIT-B, NLS reunions and convocations. Guest list upload, RSVP, seat allocation, category-coloured badges.
Community meetups scaling up
The night you outgrow Meetup.com — sessions, ticketing, kiosk, sponsor booths, all on your own subdomain.
Why Bengaluru organisers pick SignupDesk
- Onsite kiosk that just prints. Bengaluru venues (BIEC, KTPO, hotels along Old Airport Road) all have different printer setups. Browser-print works with any of them.
- Session-level check-in. Multi-track tech conferences at MLR Convention Centre or KLCC need real attendance data per session, not just the front door.
- UPI + GST built in. Ticket money flows to your own Razorpay account, GST invoices auto-generate. Your finance team gets what they need without extra work.
- DPDP-ready. Bengaluru corporate legal teams sign off faster when the vendor is DPDP-compliant out of the box.
- Ask Desk copilot. Type "which VPs from Flipkart haven't checked in" and get an answer, not a spreadsheet.
Bengaluru venues our customers commonly use
BIEC (Bangalore International Exhibition Centre), KTPO Whitefield, MLR Convention Centre, ITC Gardenia, Sheraton Grand, Taj West End, JW Marriott, Radisson Blu Marathahalli, Leela Palace, Grand Mercure, Church Street Social. All support browser-print badges from our kiosk.
Events we've seen in Bengaluru
NIMHANS Convention Centre for medical CME conferences. KTPO Whitefield for the big trade shows. Manpho Convention Centre for weddings that outgrew the ballroom circuit. Taj MG Road for boutique executive summits and BFSI roundtables. Sheraton Grand Rajajinagar for developer meetups scaling into their first real conference. BIEC Tumkur Road for industrial expos with 400 booths.
The pattern is unmistakable: fintech and SaaS conferences dominate the calendar, usually 500 to 3,000 attendees, multi-track, with a live-polls-and-Q&A moment where the audience actually engages. Product launches at ITC Gardenia and JW Marriott come in at 200 invitees with red-carpet expectations. Alumni events at IIMB and IISc Balebeit Hall run 300 to 800 guests with heavy check-in demands.
Pain points are specific to the city. HSR Layout and Koramangala meetups outgrow Meetup.com and immediately need session-level RSVP. Whitefield tech parks host all-hands where 2,000 employees need SSO. Domlur agencies produce ten events per quarter for enterprise SaaS clients, each on a separate subdomain. And every organiser learns the same lesson: Bengaluru traffic on a Thursday means starting the event 30 minutes earlier than any Excel model suggests.
Old Airport Road hotels have every possible printer setup between them. Thermal at some, laser at others, A4 label sheets at the third. That is why browser-print badges matter here more than in most cities. One kiosk workflow, whichever printer you get.
Why Bengaluru organisers switched from Konfhub and Meraevents
Konfhub is the incumbent for Bengaluru tech conferences. It works. The switch usually happens for one of three reasons.
First, per-ticket fees. When you cross 1,500 attendees on a paid event, the transaction fees add up to a serious number. Ours is a flat platform fee, no per-attendee charge, and ticket money flows directly to your own Razorpay account. Finance teams in Whitefield tech parks work this out on a calculator in about 90 seconds.
Second, the white-label question. Konfhub-hosted URLs feel like Konfhub-hosted URLs. When you are pitching your conference to a Fortune 500 sponsor, they want your brand front and centre. Custom domain, your logo everywhere, no "Powered by Konfhub" footer. Ours does that on every plan.
Third, the AI copilot. This is newer and it is why 2026 has been our biggest switching year from Meraevents. Bengaluru organisers are AI-first buyers. When they see Ask Desk answer "which VPs from Flipkart have RSVP'd but not checked in", they get it immediately. That is a query that would take 4 minutes in a Meraevents dashboard. It takes 8 seconds here.
Nobody switches for one reason. Usually it is the third event that pushes it: the budget review after a paid conference, the sponsor who asked about branding, the moment an admin opened Ask Desk and stopped opening Excel.
Setup checklist for a Bengaluru-based event
- GST state code KA (29). Set your organisation GSTIN correctly in Billing so invoices carry the right IGST/CGST split. Interstate buyers pay IGST, Bengaluru buyers pay CGST+SGST.
- Venue POC contact goes into Ask Desk. BIEC and KTPO POCs prefer WhatsApp updates over email. Save the venue coordinator on your team's phone before T-14.
- Monsoon buffer. June-September rains hit ORR and Whitefield disproportionately. Any outdoor session, add 45 min buffer for guest arrival. Indoor venues rarely affected.
- Audience profile. Bengaluru attendees are AI-literate and app-installers. Turn on the Attendee PWA prompt on the confirmation page; install rates run 55-65% here vs 30% national average.
- WhatsApp over SMS. Bengaluru is a WhatsApp city. Use WhatsApp broadcast for reminders. SMS delivery rates to Airtel and Jio numbers here are patchier than in Delhi.
- Kannada name handling. Attendee names with Kannada characters (ಕನ್ನಡ) render correctly in Unicode. Test one before uploading a full guest list. Certificates and badges support the full Devanagari and Kannada character sets.
- Traffic reality. Anything starting before 10 AM on a weekday needs an on-time nudge sent at 07:30, not 08:30. This is the single most useful reminder any Bengaluru event can send.
Common questions from Bengaluru organisers
Which event platform do Bengaluru tech conferences use?
Bengaluru's tech and developer conferences need multi-track sessions, live polls, speaker portals and kiosk check-in at large venues. SignupDesk covers all of that with GST-compliant ticketing and an AI copilot on every plan.
Do you support product launches in Bengaluru?
Yes. Invite-only mode, custom domain (launch.yourbrand.com), press/partner/VIP tiers, red-carpet kiosk with branded badges. Common use case for our Bengaluru customers.
Can startups on a budget use this?
Yes. Flat annual platform fee, zero per-attendee. Cheaper than piecing together Google Forms + Zapier + Zoho + a badge printer app.
